1. Program rationale & scope

Energy poverty and youth unemployment reinforce each other across Northern Nigeria. This initiative builds locally owned technical capacity: practical solar PV installation, system maintenance, and clean-tech enterprise skills, delivered in community classrooms with hands-on equipment.

  • Community solar training labs established with partner institutions
  • Practical certification for 500 youth per cohort (target)
  • Starter toolkits for top graduates to launch local service micro-enterprises
  • Post-training 6-month livelihood tracking in the MEAL register
